As promised, here are the higher resolution images of 50s model Suzy Parker doing her thang (Miss Rayne, that image of the three girls yesterday was as big as it could go without blurring). I have so many images that I’m actually going to have to do it in two parts – so if you aren’t interested in Ms Parker you will need to skip past the next post as well.
The images here include covers and editorials from magazines such as Vogue, Life and Harper’s Bazaar, and advertisements for cosmetics, perfume, swimwear and coats. I’ve tried to give as much detail as I could find, but if anyone knows anything further then please let me know and I will add it to the captions. As far as I’m aware, all of these pictures are now out of copyright.

>Oh. My. God. So much fabulous, I need to go back to the beginning and start again to make sure I didn't miss anything. The leopard print cape and hat! That gorgeous pic of her with the camera! Her silhouetter as she sits on the red webbed bench. The amazing Jacques Foth dress!
And hello, THAT'S where I've been going wrong… I've been taking my lipstick off before bed!
Thanks Penny for the FABULOUS pics. Just beautiful.

>Really, really beautiful. Thanks for posting these. Off tangent a bit, what was that alarming Coty 24 hour lippy made of? Its probably a banned substance now :)
>I know Mrs Exeter, I'm sure it can't have been good!
>This collection is priceless!
>So fabulous, I have to have a closer look to each one of them.

>What a pity about the beer girls, but isn't it amazing how she can make the silliest hat look chic?
>Wowzers! I LOVE the 1st Life cover – with her and the camera :)
>Miss Rayne – I actually just bought a hat very similar to that myself. Except mine is even sillier, with fake birds on it. Let's hope I get away with it as well as she does!
>Gorgeous photos of a very classy lady!
>Wow my dear, what a superb post, she is truly stunning and certainly a supermodel of her day!! Thanks for sharing such wonderful pictures, have a great weekend! x
>So Glam and Chic, love the pics!
>Amazingly gorgeous photos! Women back then were so graceful! I'd actually like to frame couple of the photos they're so good :)
>Ooh thank you for posting this! Really stunning! I'm now feeling decidedly under-groomed, however.
>Ooh show me
>omg she is ravishing!
>Wonderful post! She's fabulous. i have a few of these pictures but there are lots I haven't seen before. Gorgeous! xx
>GOR-geous. They knew something about exuding womanhood back then, didn't they? (as opposed to the modern 'teenage dream') Love the blog. Love your style.

>she is all sorts of glam!! i think they really don't make them like they used to :) thanks for sharing all these great photos of her work! you have such a lovely blog!

>This is how all ladies on magazines should still be today; glamourous, charming, classy, poised, sophisicated and most of all real and not airbrushed!
Thank you for the part two, I am even more in love with this woman :) hehe.
♥
>Love those sex-ay fitted suits.
>Wow – SO gorgeous. Have had loads of these saved on my computers for ages without having known. Thanks. x
>What a great 2 parts, Penny D. I forget how diverse Suzy could look. Fresh and beautiful still. Timeless. GREAT POSTS.
And thanks for the crazy sweet shout out on Twitter. BUT for the record: YOU are brimming with talent, sartorlial and editorial, beauty, wit and charm which unfortunately I can take no credit for. But if I could, believe me, little pumpkin, I would. xo. -Bella Q
>The dresses, the blouses, the fitted suits, the purses, the gloves, the coats, the shoes, the everything! Oh, I, too, feel so undergroomed. Absolutely love these pictures. Now I know why she was a "supermodel". FANTASTIC!
