Come on a Vintage Style Ride!

If you haven’t yet heard, the next hot new vintage event set to take place in London is a bicycle procession down Exhibition Road the weekend after next. The Vintage Style Ride is being hosted by The Vintage Guide to London for as part of the Exhibition Road Show, and everyone is invited!

Dress up in your favourite vintage outfit, be it thirties tweed or a seventies maxi dress, hop on your bike and head to Exhibition Road, where vintage-lovers and retro cycle enthusiasts will gather to parade down the street and show off their vintage cycle chic.

Participants can also borrow a free vintage Pashley from the amazing Tally Ho! Cycle Tours  (limited numbers available, contact the guide to see if there are any left), and meet up at Tally Ho! HQ at Waterloo for a guided ride through Kensington to Exhibition Road before the Style Ride.

There are also plenty of Boris Bike docking stations around Waterloo and Exhibition Road, and of course you could also bring your own bicycle.

The ride down Exhibition Road starts at 16:00 on Sunday 29 July 2012; participants should gather on Prince Consort Road where there will be a designated area.

For those wanting to come on a Tally Ho! guided ride in the run up to the Parade: meet up at Tally Ho! HQ from around 14:00 for coffee in the nearby Scooter Cafe, the guided ride to Exhibition Road will set off around 15:00.

Sadly I will be away when this is taking place, but it should be a great event. Remember, all are welcome, so get over to the Vintage Style Ride Facebook page and register your interest!
