A few weeks ago I went to a joint birthday party for my friends Bethan and Fleur. Many of my friends who would be there dress in incredible 40s and 50s styles, and really, I just can’t compete. I’d also just been feeling a little ‘blah’ and all I really wanted to wear was my old Blondie t-shirt. So I decided to do something completely different, and put together a New Wave outfit. You can’t really see in these pictures, but I had huge blue sweeps of eye shadow and ultra glossy red lips. I also had a leopard print hat but that was left inside.
Of course everyone else looked amazing, and as usual I hardly took any photos because I was having such a nice time! Not a single one of the birthday girls, shame on me. A few of my friends are below though; Mara with her incredible purple faux bangs, Claire with her Marilyn curls, Lisa in a gorgeous high shouldered 30s knit, Charly in a homemade 40s style tea dress, Hannah in a stunning 1950s silk dress, and Gemma in a 60s mini. We just about covered all decades!
Outfit details: Blondie t-shirt from New Look (cut up by me), vintage blazer by Cerruti, zebra print trousers by Uniqlo, vintage 70s grey heels with twisted vamp.
