Double Double Toil and Trouble

Random street in Forest Hill lined with bunting
Last week, there was no outfit post. I can only say that this was for a few very good reasons. Usually, during the week I wear conservative office clothes, then over the weekend play vintage dress-ups and don silly sparkly things and take photographs. Last weekend was spent at a friends house in old jeans, plaid shirt and trainers.
This is why:
Un

Deux

Troix et quatre

We spent last weekend looking after four – yes, FOUR – boisterous ginger kittens. After five catless years (the disadvantages of city living) this was a huge treat for me, and the best possible reason for dressing down. Just as well, since they enjoyed using my legs as a climbing frame, sneezing all over my shirt, attacking my shoelaces, and climbing up the chimney (resulting in soot-covered fur, and a subsequent unhappy bathtime).

Luckily, they did eventually nod off:
Sigh. This is why I could never stay in my little London flat forever.

  1. >Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant :(

I've never been able to have a cat of my own, but I would dearly love one. Definitely the downside of city/flat living.

  2. >this is so prettty, i want to visit a little town like this :) xx

  3. >Kittens are adorable. I had two and they lived long, happy lives. They gave me great joy.

  4. >Ohhhh so cute! The first one looks like a fluffier version of my Oscar at that age. There's nothing quite like a kitten is there? All that frantic, amusing energy and then conking out for some furious sleeping.
