I am probably a bit behind the times with this one, but I recently signed up to, and was instantly obsessed with, Pinterest.
Have any of you tried it? My goodness, so much fun! I never quite knew what to do with all the fantastic images I come across on all the blogs I read, and now finally I have somewhere to arrange them all in neat little inspiration folders without clogging up space on the computer.
Truthfully, I haven’t been reading many blogs lately as work has taken up most of my time, but this weekend I sat down and went through the 1000+ posts that were waiting to be perused in my Google Reader, and had a grand old time pinning away. So far I have made folders for fashions from the Edwardian to the 80s eras, vintage adverts, vintage homes, vintage weddings, vintage outfits, history, vintage hair and beauty, home ideas, and of course, kitty cats. What an amazing way to keep all my visual research and inspirations in one place!
I’m purely ‘pinning’ for my own enjoyment, but if you would like to follow me you can find me as Penny Dreadful Vintage on Pinterest.

I am typing this with my eyes firmly shut. No no no – NO pintrest!! I will never leave the HOUSE if I get involved with that… no no no…
…. oooohh.. pretty!
I have photos of Australian land girls *tempting*
I just joined as well, am following you now!
I’m so behind in my blog reading too. See you on Pinterest!
I’m trying really hard not to get into Pinterest because I will never leave my couch let alone my flat! But it does seem very tempting…
I need 48 hours in a day clearly – it looks interesting and I love your arrangments – just need someone to make me a time warp machine or something…
I also recently joined Pinterest because I needed a way to keep track of the pretty photos I find on the internet. That is very handy, but sadly I have now learned that most of the photos shared there violate the copyright laws… I just can’t get the grasp of it. It is just a method of collecting and keeping track of links where you find something interesting, how can that be violating. I sure understand that even so some people can and will claim photos are their own when publishing something against the truth but still… why is everything fun forbidden? (I still continue using it…)
I joined but forgot about it.
Oh, dear. I, too, have fallen down the rabbit hole that is Pinterest. When I tell people about it, I practically make them sign a waiver absolving me of responsibility for creating a new addiction… I feel like a drug dealer, giving someone their first hit of crack cocaine. Seriously, though, I can’t imagine that cocaine could be NEARLY as good as Pinterest, can you? ;)
