Interesting Shops: KARE Munich

When Mr D and I visited Germany earlier in the year, I have to admit we weren’t blown away by the shopping. Perhaps it is more exciting elsewhere in the country, but I didn’t find much to excite in Bavaria. However, one store that we found by accident and fell in love with was KARE, a furnishing and design store based in Munich. It has branches all over Germany and most of Europe, but unfortunately nothing in the UK. If you are visiting Germany any time it is well worth a visit, and if you have a store in your country – lucky you!

What I loved about the shop was how unashamedly glam it all was. Many of the things aren’t necessarily what I would put in my own home, but I loved how extravagant and colourful they were, and that it was done with a great deal of humour. If we had pots of money to cover shipping I’m sure something would have come home with us, but at least now I can rest assured that if I ever do get the sudden desire for an enormous silver lizard, I know where to go.
