Two outfit posts from me this week. This is what I wore to go to my friend’s karaoke party on Saturday night. Obviously for such a special occasion I needed to look like a diva. And what could be more appropriate than the blingalicious 80s number I bought from the naughty Fi of Save Our Shoes a few months ago.
We did take photos but they all managed to be totally awful – it was a dim hallway and as you can see I had to ramp up the exposure to show the outfit properly. I have since managed to convince myself that this makes it ‘artistic’.
Side note: When I bought this from Fi I instantly christened it my ‘Dynasty dress’, being so marvellously Joan-Collinstastic. It was only a few weeks later that I finally bothered to look at the label… and found the brand name was Dallas! Sigh. Close, but no cigar.
|The tube station photo shoot went better, but you can’t see the darn dress
Outfit details: 80s vintage Dynasty/Dallas dress, 70s gold chain belt, blue opaque tights, silver snakeskin Miss Selfridge heels, 80s leather jacket, yellow tasselled silk scarf from Singapore.
