Hard on the heels of the vintage trip to York, I will be waking at a frighteningly early hour tomorrow morning to catch the Eurostar to Paris. I have a huge list of vintage stores and cafes to check out, and will be putting together a mega guide to Parisian Vintage once I come back. The things I do for you lot eh.
Now I’ve been growing my Jean Seberg style pixie crop out with patience, but knowing I would be travelling to one of the most fashionable cities in the world I simply couldn’t wait any longer. I needed a proper cut. After loads of recommendations from friends I decided to try out Claire Hair. You can see the results in the photo above, which Claire took just after my cut. I couldn’t be more happy, it is one of the best cuts I have ever had and I will certainly be going back.
Claire specialises in vintage cuts and styles from the 20s to the 60s, and works from her vintage-filled home in , Walthamstow, London. This is fab because it means you get an enormous mug of tea, 6 Music on the radio, lots of vintage chatter, and cuddles from the smoochiest little dachshund called Bramble. As soon as I sat down Ms Bramble put her paws on my knees asking for attention, and after she had been picked up promptly made herself comfortable and fell asleep. BEST HAIR CUTTING ASSISTANT EVER.
Claire comes with a huge thumbs up from me; if you are in London and looking for a vintage cut, style, or colour, give her a call.
Appointments: Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, 9am to 10pm; Tues & Sat 9am to 5pm
