This post comes with thanks to my mum and dad, who told me about a fantastic vintage caravan show they went to in my home town of Cowra on the weekend. The Australian Vintage Caravan Nationals are currently being held in a local park, and show off restored caravans dating from the 1930s through until 1970. As you can see lots of people also have matching cars, and have gone to great trouble to kit out their caravans with authentic period bedding, crockery, and kitchenware.
The Vintage Caravan Nationals will be running through until the 5th of May. Cowra is in the central west of New South Wales, four hours west of Sydney and two hours north of Canberra – if any readers are close to the area it looks well worth a visit.

I really really want one! But I’m guessing you need Australian weather for most of them. Not sure a little hut where all your essentials are stored at the end and you can only open it from outside is quite practical here :(
A teardrop trailer has been on my wishlist for some time. Such amazing photos. Wish I could’ve been there!
