1930s dark brown marmot fur coat

This stunning vintage fur coat is made of either marmot or musquash; the two can be quite similar so it is hard to be 100% sure, but the fur seems darker than musquash. I believe the coat dates from the 30s (similar styles are often seen in films of the time), but it could also be from the 40s or 50s since the style is quite classic. There are no labels, but the coat is lined with a gorgeous chocolate brown satin with inset breast pocket on the right hand side. There are two side hip pockets which are lined in velvet for extra cosiness, and the coat fastens with two hooks and eyes – one at the waist and one at the neck (this one not fastened in pictures).
Condition: very good, the only real issue is a slightly musty scent. The coat has been aired but would benefit from specialist cleaning to ensure longevity.
Due to the weight of this item, the purchaser may wish to collect from my London studio.
