1940s style pink crepe jacket with scalloped collar

When I bought this jacket I was sure it was from the 40s – everything about it looks to be from that period, from the fitted shape to the moulded buttons, scalloped collar, dusky pink colour and crepe fabric. I was gobsmacked when I got it home and looked inside to find it is actually by the classic British label Eastex, and the crepe is constructed from a polyester fibre. This dates it to the 70s at earliest, and I would say it is no later than that as the jacket doesn’t have any shoulder pads and is too fitted for the 80s.
All that aside, what this means is that you get a jacket which has the look of a genuine 1940s garment, but without having to worry about damaging any delicate fibres and at a lower cost than an older example would be. The jacket has princess style seams to create the fitted shape, is lined in the body but not the arms, has sweet little ridged plastic buttons (with one spare still sewn on the label), and my favourite part, a gorgeous scalloped peter pan collar.
Size is a general medium, condition is excellent.
