Vintage 70s shirtwaister day dress by designer label Lanvin. Lanvin came out with a range of these simple dresses in the 70s, usually in brightly coloured prints incorporating the triple L Lanvin logo in some way. The dress is in a simple unstructured sleeveless style, with a shirt style collar, covered buttons down to the waist, and a matching tie belt. Fibre feels like a synthetic silk, most likely polyester or acetate.

Condition: very good. This was a simple ready to wear line not couture, so the quality is not the same as what you would expect from a higher end line. Some of the seams, for instance, are a little messy, but this was in manufacture not due to later wear. The hem looks like it has been let down, but this has been neatly done. It could be shortened to the original knee lenght if desired.
