Description
Vintage late 50s or early 60s cocktail dress by British designer Colin Glascoe. Glascoe was known for his Pucci-style psychedelic printed silk pieces in the 60s and 70s, however this is a much earlier example of his work. In fact this is the only early label style I have come across. The dress is in an illusion style, with a solid black body in crepe and unlined lace over the upper bodice. The dress has long sleeves, a round neck, and a long metal zip at the back. It is fully lined apart from the sleeves and upper bodice which are meant to be transparent. The fabric feels like a rayon crepe. Label states Colin Glascoe, London W1.
