Description
Incredible Japanese full length kimono, in what feels like a silk fibre dark peach crepe. The crepe is woven in a damask style with a pattern of reeds. It can be difficult to date kimonos as they are usually made in traditional styles, but due to the colours and fabric of this one I would date it to the 1930s. It features the classic large sleeves, comes to full length, and is lined in red silk. The lower part of the kimono is detailed with a beautiful design of chrysanthemums and curling leaves over a hazy background.
