If you are at a loss for something to do in London this weekend, don’t forget that the Penny Dreadful Vintage spring preview and sale is on this Saturday! Wheee!
The above photograph of a previous open day gives some idea of what you can expect, but imagine that amount of clothes times ten as I now also have a full-to-bursting stockroom. And there will be cake aplenty, of course.
Ready for summer (it will arrive one day won’t it?) I have some gorgeous printed 50s and 60s frocks, groovy swimsuits, crisp cotton Victorian nightgowns, floaty 70s maxis, 30s straw hats, painted parasols, colourful sandals, and much more. There is even a rather special overnight-bag from the Munich Olympic Games if you are feeling the London Olympic fever!
Pieces bought direct from the studio are always discounted from the online price, so if you have had your eye on a certain item now is the time to come along and try it on. Remember also that what goes into the online shop is only a fraction of what I have in stock, so private appointments are a great way to snap up extra-special pieces before they go public.
Everyone is welcome, and as we are only one minute from Hampstead Heath you can even make a day of it with a picnic (or more realistically if this rain continues, relocate to one of Hampstead many cosy little pubs!). The closest tube station is Belsize Park, and closest overland station in Hampstead Heath.
Further details are available on the Facebook event page, or if you don’t use Facebook please email me for address details.
Look forward to seeing you here!

Looks like such fun, my bank account is definitely glad of the fact that I can’t make it however!
Bah, I wish you could come so I could stare at you again, HAHA!
You’ve let the cat out of the bag now, you’ll have to organise another in the future where everyone wears sunglasses. Then you can stare at anyone…!
I would LOVE to shop your shop- Margaret! Hope your sale was a grand success!
