With all the glorious weather we have been having this week, it seems fitting that I’ve been filling the store full of pretty cotton skirts – perfect for this hot Indian summer sun. In fact, right after this update, I’ll be donning a skirt myself, pouring myself a cool glass of rum and ginger ale, and sitting out on the front steps to enjoy it!
The skirt above is my very favourite from this week, it is a 1950s tiered circle skirt from our very own Marks and Spencers, though back then their clothing label was called St Michael. I’m always a little bit thrilled when I find a very old St Michael piece; the store is such an integral part of British culture and history so I really enjoy finding evidence of just how long we’ve all been wearing their clothes.
These skirts are all in store now, so act smart if have your eye on one – there is only one of each!
