This is the 40s style outfit I wore to the War and Peace Show I blogged about earlier in the week. Sod’s Law determined that after weeks of rain it would be gloriously sunny that day, so I was sweltering in my knitted top and woollen trousers. My friend Lena was in the same boat, wearing a similar knitted repro top and woollen skirt, but Claire was sensible and breezy in a pretty cotton Heyday frock. How we envied her!
Outfit details: Vintage Givenchy men’s trousers, repro knitted mohair top, vintage belt from my Grandpa, Clark’s t-bar shoes, vintage silk scarf worn as turban, Mac Red lipstick.

You all look lush :)
Sometimes we must suffer for beauty. You look great!
I LOVE this look! It’s so sleek. I have yet to attend an event like this, dying to!
You all look like pinup girls!! So pretty. I just finished watching The Pacific series and you look like you stepped right out of the screen. Great outfits!
It looks lovely – I’ve never tried to have my hair styled this way – very tempted as you look so glam!
