The flat is in a woeful state at the moment. I am not a neat person at the best of times, and right now there are vintage clothes crowding almost every surface. Naturally, I thought I should make a photographic record of the slovenliness.
Edit: to be clear, this is all stuff for the store, not my own things!
Once upon a time, this was a sofa:
This, a chair:
And a table and chairs:
The bedroom has been taken over:
And the doorways:
Even the objet d’art (ie, bowls) have been pulled into duty:
Luckily, there is one small oasis of calm. We bought some new shelves last week, so the hats, shoes and bags have more of a home. Doesn’t it look smart by contrast!

>Holy cow! How much stuff do you have? The correct answer is TOO BLOODY MUCH GIVE ME SOME!
>Wow, that's a lot of vintage! I'm wanting to come across the Pond and help you to organize it all by style and color. I have issues… :)
>Brilliant, makes me feel much better knowing I've a fellow messy blog friend out there. xxx
PS I love Kate Atkinson.
>Wow, where do you keep all this stuff normally?! My work room is in a similar state, I have masses of things waiting to be ironed and photographed and listed and sold, and yet more in half finished states needing to be sewn together. It looks like you have some lovely things though!
>That really is a clothing explosion – although the purses look very well organized!

>wowee, that's a situation!! Haha. I just reorganized my own hoard. Rock some great tunes, drink lots of caffeine and you should be organized in no time!!
>I just want to dive in and roll round in it all. Carefully of course, wouldn't want to damage anything.
>Hi there-wow, what a gorgeous amount of vintage, lol!! Love your storage solution for the bags and hats too! x
>I'm so glad I'm not the only one! Sometimes my bedroom looks like a vintage hating poltergeist has gone through it! Loving that pile of shoes! x
>Wow! Drowning in vintage clothing… what a way to go :D

>Oh my god. You have a crazy amount, I want to shop your wardrobe haha!
Also I know, 60…(now 61 with your last comment) on cakes took me by surprise too haha. We're all a bunch of cake lovers!
>Dear Penny, how lovely to have found your blog, I'm sorry I haven't sooner.
My magpie eye is drawn to the gold and black sparkly thing on the sofa, what is it? Have a fabulous weekend xx
>Dear Penny,
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who intermittently lives in a vintage warehouse explosion! I try to keep things stored & bagged but I am seriously running out of space.
I may very well take a leaf out of your book & start an etsy store cause my blog shop just didn’t do the trick.
Have a fab weekend my dear!
…Xxx
>Haha, love it! You can never have too much vintage, in my opinion!
>That's how my house always looks!
>i am so jealous. what an amazing collection.
>Wow, I certainly wouldn't be able to part with most of those bags!
>Oh I am just the same, I can't even move for the avalanch of clothes all over the place!
>This is my world too, 99% of the time. I figure furniture and walls just *look* better with clothes draping over and off them….non? ;)
