I am sometimes not the best at posting outfits in a timely manner. As evidenced by these pictures of the 50s cotton sun dress I wore on holiday LAST OCTOBER. However delayed, I rather like the photos so thought they were still worth sharing.
The dress you might have seen before on the blog, but it is so beautifully crisp and cool for hot summer days that I wear it a lot – the matching belt helps to make it look smart even though the style is quite loose. The psychedelic print bag was made by everyone’s favourite blogger, Vintage Vix, from an old curtain and some fringing. I am always in awe of her creativity. And the only other thing needed were some leather sandals, it was the tropics after all – no point in loading yourself down with a truckload of accessories and make-up!
These photos were taken on a walk up to visit The Barbados Museum, we couldn’t resist the pretty faded green paint and honeycomb-like breezeblocks.
