| Retro 60s style Union Jack rug from Debenhams, £78 from £195 |
I know, I know. I should stop tempting you. But. If you are going to be purchasing things for your house this year ANYWAY, it makes sense to do it in the sales. Obviously don’t go mad buying things you don’t need, but if you have some spare cash right now it is a really good time to replace your saggy old pillows or upgrade your towels or even start thinking about stocking up on presents for the year. I’ve already bought a few little things for upcoming friends birthdays (I am thinking of being super-organised and starting a ‘birthday box’).
None of the home stores had incredible deals like I found for shoes yesterday, but there are still bargains to be had. Here are my top retro home picks (and a few rather marvellous 40s reproduction books at the end).
