Hope you have all had a great week. I’ve been busy taking photographs here for a huge amount of new listings that should be coming up soon, and have also spent some time with my friend The Seamstress who is sadly leaving London next week. She has helped me so much with my mending over the last couple of months and I’m much better at vintage repairs now than I used to be. The last job we did together was sewing in a zip, which I have decided is my least favourite thing to do in the entire world.
One of the great things about London is that sooner or later most people end up here, and you have so many chances to meet interesting people and make great friends. One of the sad things is that they usually all leave again, so I often feel that my life is spent getting to know wonderful people only to have them move away. I’m really going to miss The Seamstress – thank goodness for the Internet!
This weekend I’ll be catching up with a few different friends; they will be ostensibly be coming round to PDV headquarters to see me, but in reality I think they just want to meet Elsa. I can handle having a cat who is more popular than me… I think. Whatever you are all up to, I hope you have great weekends.

Top idea: re-use your kid’s old clothes to make a keepsake patchwork quilt, from The Women’s Room.
