Vintage Tips, Tutorials and Links Round-Up

A very quick intro from me this week as I am about to head into the kitchen to make chicken kiev for dinner. I’m also not feeling terribly chatty right now as I just finished watching Gallipoli and am feeling rather grim and glum. Tears were shed, oh yes. Of course it is a ‘good’ thing to watch serious films about important events in history, but it usually leaves me feeling very sad. Luckily we have lots of old Bond films lined up, so I’ll be cheering myself up with Sean Connery later tonight.

Hope you all have great weekends, and enjoy the round-up!

I haven’t been able to re watch Gallipoli since I first saw it in the 1980s, same with re-reading Birdsong. Wonderful but utterly heartbreaking.
I’m so proud to be with some of the coolest chicks on the ‘net. I’m very cross you didn’t include your gorgeous self in your fab camel coat…tut tut.
Have a brilliant weekend. I’m already tipsy. Well, it is the last weekend of being 44, better see it out with a bang(ing hangover). xxx

Well hello there!!! Another delicious collection of goodies to distract me from doing the dishes … yay! Loved reading the responsible decluttering post and it’s so lovely to see some new faces for me to visit and of course my darlings Sarah and Vix in their glory. Thank you so much for including me this week:)). Looking through the pics, I realised how my post really clashes with the majority of others because we’re in full-on summer here and most of the others are in autumn/winter. Such beautiful rich colours to be seen and I miss wearing my beloved tights collection. xoxoxo

A lovely round up as usual. Gotta have a bit of Parton in there, very cheering.

Most of my daily work involves the watching, reading and analysis of, serious stories in which everyone dies. I use this as an excuse to watch trash like Terra Nova in my spare time and read swashbuckling yarns.
